Brazilian Football Icon Quits The Stage.

Brazil bids farewell to one of its most significant figures: Pelé, the king of football. Elected athlete of the century, Edson Arantes do Nascimento made the world bow to his talent, taking Brazilian football to the altar of the gods after winning three world cup trophies for his country. Throughout his life, Pele inspired generations of athletes and deserves all the honors.

Brazilian world football icon Pelé died Thursday at the Albert Einstein Hospital in São Paulo. Since the announcement of his death, tributes have been made to him by Christiano Ronaldo, Neymar Lionel Messi, and from all over the world.

May his soul rest in peace.
