A lady is currently behind bars in Batouri, East region. She was arrested for allegedly staging her own kidnap.
Shortly after she went missing, her ‘kidnappers’ demanded an 800,000 FCFA ransom from her husband. The husband in question, a professor doled out the sum to enable her to regain her freedom.

She is said to be behind bars awaiting judicial action.
