BREAKING – MADISON COUNTY – THREE PEOPLE ALLEDGEDLY TORTURE A VICTIM – WRAPPED VICTIM WITH BARB WIRE- SLICED CROSSES INTO VICTIMS FACE AND HANDS – FORCIBLY IMPRISONED – BEATEN WITH A CROWBAR

Press Release From The Madison County Sheriff’s Office / Sheriff Buddy Harwood –

“On 02/19/23 my Office received a report about an unknown individual that had shown up at a residence saying they had been kidnapped. The Madison County Sheriff’s Office responded to the East Fork Community of Madison County. Deputies located a victim with numerous lacerations to the face, body, and arms. The victim also had multiple cross symbols that had been carved onto the victim’s face and body. Due to the victims injuries they were transported by EMS to receive medical treatment.

Madison County Sheriff’s Detectives and Deputies canvased the area and located the residence where it occurred. Detectives located Patrick Banks, James Angel, and Nicole Sawyer at the residence. Patrick was wanted by Probation and Parole for a Parole Violation, and had a Felony warrant for his arrest for cutting off a probation electronic monitoring device. James had a warrant for Larceny and Possession of Marijuana from another county.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office executed a Search Warrant at the residence. As a result of the investigation Detectives were able to determine that the victim had been forcibly imprisoned in a basement of the residence. The victim’s hands had been tied to a chair with barb wire, the victim’s feet were also tied up with barb wire, the victim’s chest was tied to a beam of the residence with barb wire, and the victim’s mouth had been taped. The victim had been punched in the head, kicked in the head, struck multiple times in the head by multiple firearms, struck multiple times with a crowbar, sliced by multiple knives causing numerous lacerations to the victim’s face and hands. Three individuals have been arrested and charged for this horrific incident.

Patrick Colby Banks was charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Bodily Injury with Intent to Kill, First Degree Kidnapping, Possession of a Weapon of Mass Destruction, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

James Angel was charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Bodily Injury with Intent to Kill, First Degree Kidnapping, Possession of a Weapon of Mass Destruction.

Nicole Sawyer was charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Bodily Injury with Intent to Kill, First Degree Kidnapping, Possession of a Weapon of Mass Destruction.
